LINK Unlimited is a not-for-profit organization that provides educational services and mentoring to economically disadvantaged African American youth from the Chicago area.
Through LINK Unlimited, academically motivated youth gain an opportunity to receive a quality private school education. LINK also provides academic enrichment and college readiness programs to help ensure high school graduation and enrollment in a four-year college or university.
Since 1966, LINK Unlimited has served more than 1,550 youth. LINK students consistently perform above the local and national averages for African Americans. Since 2000, all LINK graduating seniors have enrolled in four-year colleges and universities. Many of our students have been accepted to some of the most prestigious colleges and universities in the country such as Bates College, Bowdoin College, Colgate University, Colorado College, Emory University, Grinnell College, Hamilton College, MIT, Pomona College, Northwestern University, Stanford University, University of Chicago, Vanderbilt University and Williams College.
Upon entering the LINK program as a high school freshman, each student is matched with a sponsor/mentor. Sponsors contribute toward the cost of private secondary education and agree to be a motivator and advisor to a student as they grow and develop throughout their four years of high school.
